Northamptonshire Local Government Reform
Two new unitary councils will be established in Northamptonshire on 1 April 2021 (Vesting Day).
The West Northamptonshire unitary will cover Daventry District, Northampton Borough and South Northamptonshire and the North Northamptonshire unitary will cover Corby, East Northants, Kettering and Wellingborough.

Register to vote by post in local elections
Residents in Daventry, Northampton and South Northants are being encouraged to apply early if they want to vote by post or proxy in the forthcoming local elections.

New Leisure Centre
A new leisure centre in Moulton to serve residents in the east of Daventry District
Daventry District Council purchased the Chris Moody Centre, from Moulton College and have converted it into a public leisure centre for the District using £8.5m funding from local housing developer contributions.
The Leisure Centre is due to open in 2021, further details can be found on their website.

Look out for your new collections calendar
Residents are being encouraged to keep an eye out for their new bin calendars early next week as some will see changes to their collections from the end of this month.
The four-page leaflet gives details of waste and recycling dates for the year ahead, including changes to collection patterns for around 15,000 homes district-wide from the week beginning 31 August 2020.
